I created a series of daily drawings called FREEDOM in response to the George Floyd murder. His last words were that I can’t breathe and that he was also calling for his mother! That leads me to think about women as an avatar for freedom. Freedom of movement and self-expression are keys to what it means to be human. I pray that these pieces will help to bring peace in these times of turmoil.

All drawings were done in oils on Canson 136 acrylic paper
